A romance, but also love for a people and a understanding of duty to others. This is the story of gentle, gradual, but passionate love. Even better is the understanding that love and friendship can’t fix everything, but it can stay by your side while you heal. Taking the base tale of Cinderella and tipping it on its edge to show the healing, trauma, and strength of escaping abusive situations. I love how they provide the true backbone of the story.īut what captures my heart in this story is that elements of healing. Katrina and… her Fae Prince (because spoilers) have a cast of merry and slightly murderous friends that surround them, providing depth and the true key to the story. Each character has a back story, each lineage a compelling tale. Not only do we get the familiar of the fade, but we get rich history in our story telling. I love Midscape and the world that continues to provide multitudes. Filled with the same lush details and gorgeous world building as in A Deal with the Elf King, Elise weaves another addictive tale. I gobbled it up in two sittings because I didn’t want to stop. In a return to our regularly scheduled posts, I’m here to GUSH about A Dance with the Fae Prince.
