![]() ![]() ![]() O' Connor creates brilliant, memorable characters with names such as Stinkwort, Plop and Mrs. As a kid I'm sure I would have loved the scenes where Princess Matty's parents are telling her to 'untidy' her room and telling her off for washing and brushing her hair! But aside from this, the book was a fantastic story about adventure and loyalty and never giving up - even when the end goal seems unachievable. The Goblin Princess: Smoky the Dragon Baby is a funny story where the world is turned on its head - tidiness and good behaviour is abominable, and porridge is better hurled across the breakfast table than eaten politely with a bowl. There was just the right amount of text on every page and I really liked the fact that on some pages the text was submerged in between the pictures, which made every single page a delight to look at. ![]() The cover is of fantastic quality and so are the pages - which makes this the perfect book for your little ones to begin to read by themselves. I enjoyed everything about this book - from the fantastic world of the goblins and fairies, the hilarious characters, to the heartwarming story and the beautifully elegant illustrations. ![]()

After the outbreak of the Second World War, different reflections in all areas of art have emerged in the field of theater and absurd theater has emerged. Modern world literature puts up many sorrowful and melancholic works by the influences of horrifying actions of wars. New trends showed up in the literature and arts in that period. If God exists, why people suffer? Why man was created by God? Or Was it not the God who created us? Who are we indeed? These kinds of questions changed people’s points of view. People started to question both the existence of God and the existence of mankind. People began to lose faith in God and question this atrocity. Bonta hopes that the bill she’s introduced would help mitigate any ability for California-based tech companies’ data to be weaponized against pregnant people. Not only would the proposed legislation, as currently drafted, forbid the practice by California law enforcement, but it would also forbid California-based tech companies like Google from complying with such requests, even if they originate from out of state. ![]() Critics of the practices, including Bonta, dub these warrants “digital dragnets.” They add that these legal techniques are overbroad as they require combing through data belonging to a huge number of people who have nothing to do with the crime being investigated. ![]() ![]() She discusses some of the changes in the indie publishing industry, touching on what has changed and what hasn’t, particularly in marketing. We ask Jackie about her favourite romance tropes and what she loves to see in romance novels, as well as her journey to writing romance. We spoke to Jackie about her new release, her writing process, her favourite romance tropes, her experience working with Kobo Originals, using Toronto as a setting, what it’s like to be a hybrid author and the differences between traditional and indie publishing, and so much more!
